AKUB TO OFFICIALLY OPEN ON 16TH JANUARY
akub will officially open on Monday 16th January in Notting Hill, showcasing modern Palestinian cooking through the distinct lens of chef and restaurateur, Fadi Kattan.
A celebration of the under-represented rich culinary history of Palestine, dishes will honour native produce, reimagined through the incorporation of local seasonal ingredients and by the fragrances and flavours of Fadi’s upbringing.
This updated approach comes to life with a menu featuring Arak cured sea bream, Red lentil moutabal, Shish barak with beetroot (spiced lamb dumplings, beetroot tahini) and the national dish of Palestine, Mousakhan, here served as Mousakhan Packet: a heady mix of chicken, confit onion and sumac wrapped in a thin layer of baked Taboun bread.
Along with a selection of natural and classic wines, akub will offer beers, arak and other spirits from Palestine.
