BEHIND RESTAURANT TO LAUNCH IN LONDON FIELDS

We are so excited to announce that Chef Andy Beynon, who has spent the past decade working in Michelin-starred kitchens across the UK; and more recently as Development Chef for Jason Atherton’s portfolio, will be opening his first solo venture "Behind" in London Fields, this October.


The entirety of the restaurant will be a counter encircling the kitchen; an intimate chef’s table where guests can watch, talk and learn from those preparing each dish on the fish-focused, 8-course tasting menu - the single menu available each day. Think Cornish blue lobster, English muffin and yuzu or Secret Smokehouse chowder and Copper Maran yolk.


Andy’s love for sours is evident in the drinks list, and there will also be an adjacent wine bar but the culinary experience is hidden from view, as diners are invited to join the team ‘behind’.


The design and branding is warm and stripped back, with deep blues and coppers, and a bespoke kitchen has been designed exclusively for Andy by Salix.
