With Christmas drawing ever closer, we’ve already begun preparing ourselves for some festive feastings...
Sea Containers at Mondrian London on South Bank will be offering a choice of feasting menus for groups dining with them over the festive period. Dishes include Ham hock & chicken terrine to start and a main of Roasted Norfolk turkey with pine nut stuffing and turkey vinaigrette. The restaurant will also be open on Christmas Day offering a special set menu.
Cafe Murano St James and Covent Garden will be offering two Christmas menus from the 1st – 24th December for parties of 8 or more. The Feast of the Seven Fishes will comprise of a seven course banquet, traditionally eaten in Italy on Christmas Eve. Il Gran Bollito Misto, a comforting northern Italian dish will be served family style, including at least five stewed meats and the centre piece of many a family gathering up and down the country.
Merchants Tavern will be serving a Christmas Feasting Menu for groups in ’The Storeroom’, their very special private dining room. The menus are priced at £45pp for three courses and £55pp for four courses. The a la carte will also feature seasonal festive dishes including a Roast partridge with all the trimmings and a Celeriac & apple soup with roasted chestnuts.
Trullo will offer a Christmas set menus for groups in their downstairs dining room. The restaurant will serve two set menus, one at £30 and one at £40. Dishes include Beef cheeks braised in Chianti with celeriac puree and roast salsify, shallot and watercress salad and Roast tranche of brill with potato, trevise, pancetta and porcini al forno.
