Festive drinks at Dishoom include the brand-new Taj Ballroom Toddy; inspired by the Bombay Jazz age, made up of Blow Horn cider, Amrut whisky, apple juice and agave and served in a long hot sling. For teetotallers, designated drivers or expectant mothers, there is also the choice of some excellent Copy Tipples - a list of totally non-alcoholic drinks which will have you completely fooled. Try the Dry Old Fashioned, Sober Martini and Virtuous Tulsi Sour.

There are host of new festive drinks on the menu at both Zetter Townhouses this - The Hunter at Seymour’s Parlour, made with Rye Chestnut, Stemone syrup & Acorn Bitters and the Spiced Cognac Collins containing Merlet Cognac, cardamom, lemon and ginger beer. The Zetter Townhouse Clerkenwell’s famous Eggnog will also be back on the menu for December only.

At The Curtain hotel’s rooftop LIDO, there’s a brand new winter cocktail menu, centred around sugar and spice with an Elderflower Hot Toddy, Hot Buttered Rum and a weekly-changing Mulled Gin menu, with a special spice blend inspired by a different gin every week. The space has also had a cosy makeover with new blankets and cushions to keep warm while taking in the view from the terrace.

Happy Endings dessert bar at Old Spitalfields Market have given their smooth Italian Hot Chocolate a Christmas makeover, by offering a spiked version topped with spiced house-made marshmallows. Market goers can choose between spiced rum, dark rum or chartreuse - perfect for warming one’s cockles whilst perusing the festive market.
