JIKONI LAUNCHES DIGITAL CIVILISED SUNDAYS

Ravinder Bhogal will launch a digital series of Jikoni's sell-out Civilised Sundays program this March welcoming Sathnam Sanghera, Caleb Azumah Nelson and Yasmin Khan as the first three guests of a stellar line-up of speakers from the worlds of journalism, literature and food.


Guests can tune in digitally from any location, while those in London can enjoy a special edition Comfort & Joy box at home – Jikoni’s vegetarian and vegan, socially-positive delivery service.


On 7th March, they will welcome award winning journalist, broadcaster and author Sathnam Sanghera to our digital stage. Mr Sanghera whose new book Empireland became an immediate Sunday Times bestseller will be in conversation with well loved and acclaimed historian and broadcaster Simon Schama.


On 28th March, 26-year-old British Ghanaian photographer and writer Caleb Azumah Nelson will read from his stunning debut novel Open Water which has launched to rapturous praise with poet Benjamin Zephaniah proclaiming “Let’s hear it for Caleb Azumah Nelson, also known as the future.” He will be in conversation with author, painter and essayist Yemisi Aribasala whose work has been widely published in British Vogue & The New Yorker.


On April 11th, the series will travel across the Eastern Mediterranean without the air miles with bestselling author and broadcaster Yasmin Khan as she launches her third, highly anticipated book Ripe Figs: Recipes and Stories from the Eastern Mediterranean. The book chronicles her travels through Turkey, Greece and Cyprus. She will be in conversation with Ravinder Bhogal.
