Claude Bosi, who took over the helm at South Kensington’s iconic Bibendum restaurant last year, was awarded the Chef Award at the 2018 Catey Awards.
French-born, Bosi moved to the UK in 1998 to work as a sous-chef at Overton Grange. In 2000, he opened Hibiscus restaurant in Ludlow, Shropshire, which was later moved to Mayfair and held 2-Michelin stars.
Bosi took over the kitchen at Bibendum, which has been owned by Sir Terrence Conran since 1987, in March of 2017 and was subsequently awarded 2-Michelin stars in the 2018 Michelin Guide, a mere six months after opening. In addition to Bibendum, Claude also owns a gastropub in Surrey, The Swan Inn, with his brother Cedric.
