CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL NEW ENTRIES TO MICHELIN GUIDE UK & IRELAND 2019
Huge congratulations to SORREL, SABOR and THE FORDWICH ARMS, who were all announced today as new 1-star entries in the MICHELIN Guide UK & Ireland 2019.
SORREL is a modern fine dining restaurant, situated in a historic 300-year old building in Dorking, in the Surrey Hills from chef Steve Drake. Inspired by simplicity, discovery and a host of excellent suppliers and produce, Sorrel’s menus constantly evolve to follow and reflect the seasons. The restaurant has been open for just under a year.
SABOR is the counter, bar and asador from chef Nieves Barragan Mohacho and business partner José Etura on London’s Heddon Street. Sabor (meaning flavour in Spanish) focuses on capturing the flavours of the duo’s native Spain, taking diners on a journey from the tapas bars of Andalucía through to the asadors of Castile and the seafood restaurants of Galicia.
THE FORDWICH ARMS in Kent is a refurbished countryside public house and dining room from Clove Club alumni, chef Daniel Smith. A beautiful countryside, The Fordwich Arms is a destination restaurant serving some of Britain’s most innovative, inspiring and visually stunning dishes with a focus on Kentish provenance.
