DISHOOM AT HOME THIS CHRISTMAS

02/12/2021

Dishoom is delighted to share a range of new products arriving this December to their online store – ideally timed for Christmas gifting, but so lovely you might be tempted to keep for yourself!

The Dishoom inventions-wallas have been working hard to transform an array of Dishoom favourites into custom-made products to be enjoyed at home – helping to bring a taste of the much-loved restaurants to kitchens all over the UK.

The all-new Masala Dabba (spice tin) provides a quick-start spice collection for mastering Dishoom’s recipes at home (£35). The set includes signature blends such as the Kabab Masala and Garam Masala, harder-to-find spices such as black cardamom, deggi mirch, amchur and kasoori methi, along with store-cupboard staples like turmeric, green cardamom and ground coriander.

For the last ten years, Dishoom have been lovingly brewing and serving endless cups of chai from breakfast until late, and it’s now possible to recreate this comforting café favourite at home in only 20 minutes. The Dishoom House Chai is beautifully presented in a reusable tin containing best quality Indian tea, Dishoom’s signature spices and chai recipe (£16). There’s also a gift set option including two chai glasses, a chai strainer and two of Chef Naved’s beloved biscuit recipes (£26), as well.

Dishoom’s Chilli Chutney, Tamarind & Date Chutney and Apple Chundo (made to co-founder Shamil’s mum’s recipe!) will be available individually (£5.90) or as a set which includes serving pots and spoons (£20). The unsung hero of Dishoom’s infamous Bacon Naan Rolls, Tomato-Chilli Jam, will also be stocked (£5.50).

A brand-new hamper brings together a selection of these items with the best-selling Dishoom cookery book, Masala Dabba, tote bag, tea towel, urad daal and Dishoom Chilli Chutney (£70). This generous gift will easily enable the lucky recipient to cook their favourite dishes from Dishoom’s menu in the comfort of their own home.

Last, but by no means least, the Dishoom store offering also includes the recently introduced Biryani Feast (£50). An ample vegetarian meal for 3-4 people, the kit is a celebration of the flavoursome Jackfruit Biryani. Along with other vegetarian favourites, like the Mattar Paneer, House Black Daal, Raita, Bhel, Kachumber, Tawa Rotis, Mango Lassi and Gulkand Mess, the kit is topped off with a Dishoom Textiles Tea Towel, also available to buy as a single item on the Store (£6).

The new items join the Dishoom Store line-up alongside products that have been much enjoyed and gifted since last Christmas. From the Permit Room Collection of bottled cocktails (£38) to the extremely popular Bacon and Vegan Sausage Naan Roll Kits with Marmalade Mimosas or Bloody Marys for two (£32), each item on the site makes for a first-class gift this festive season.

And for those who simply can’t choose, there’s Gift Coins (£10 each), along with electronic vouchers for instant delivery via email. What could be better than delicious Dishoom currency to spend at leisure in Birmingham, Manchester, Edinburgh, or any London café?
