DISHOOM DUE TO OPEN IN MANCHESTER

28/08/2018

Dishoom will be opening in Manchester this winter, in the historic Manchester Hall - a former Freemason’s hall - on Bridge Street.

Like the other restaurants, this newest member of the Dishoom family will pay homage to the old Irani cafes of Bombay, and serve executive chef Naved Nasir’s menu including classics such as the bacon naan roll and, later in the day, the house black daal and other favourites. There will also be some brand new cocktails and a special dish exclusive to Manchester - to be announced in due course.

The story of Dishoom Manchester is based around the unexpected links between Manchester, Bombay and Freemasonry, and, as each site features a story, this one is inspired by The Towers of Silence, a lost story discovered by Gyan Prakash. This is an exciting tale of the fictional but famous British private eye Sexton Blake and an elusive Parsi vigilante known only as 'Beram' as they journey between London, Manchester and Bombay.
