EASTER MADE EASY WITH DISHPATCH
This Easter, skip the usual Sunday roast and gather friends and family together with a delivery from one of the UK’s best restaurants. Available from 30th March for nationwide delivery, the exceptional Easter menus from original meal kit specialist, Dishpatch, span the globe from Ottolenghi’s Middle Eastern inspired mezze to Tamil cooking from Gopal’s Corner. Packed with the best seasonal produce and restaurant-quality dishes, this Springtime series is designed for celebrating.
Ottolenghi’s signature Middle Eastern inspired menu has had a makeover. The new Bookshelf Mezze will pay homage to his cookbook repertoire. The star of the show is an aromatic Lamb, confit Portobello mushroom or Mixed shawarma packed with herbs and spices, accompanied by Flatbreads and zesty Sumac yoghurt. Complementary mezze dishes also include earthy braised Beetroot with goat’s cheese and hazelnuts; Roasted carrots with harissa and pomegranate; Gem lettuce with burnt aubergine, smacked cucumber and chilli shatta – a traditional Palestinian condiment; and Tamarind and tomato braised chickpeas. Dessert is a recipe from Plenty More, with Vanilla-roasted rhubarb, cheesecake-like sweet labneh and pistachios.
Italians are famous across the world for their Easter feasting, and the regional dishes from Angela Hartnett’s Cafe Murano are a triumph. Start with a selection of antipasti including Broad bean, pea and smoked mozzarella arancini; Burrata with orange, pickled celery and fennel seed pangrattato; followed by a main course of Braised lamb, chickpea and tomato ragù; or a Sicilian-inspired fish stew; and dessert of Vanilla panna cotta with poached rhubarb and candied pistachios.
Esteemed chef, Michel Roux Jr, is showcasing the best of British ingredients, cooked with French flair with his lamb stew: French Navarin with spring vegetables and pommes Parisienne, or Herb-crusted cod with beurre blanc, new season leeks and pommes aligot. Both served with a silky Crème caramel.
Looking to host without the fuss? Opt for Tamil cooking from Gopal’s Corner sharing feast for six, with Lamb kurma, chicken sambal, rice, rotis and pickles. Those looking for a little comfort should try British classics with a twist from The Coach by Tom Kerridge with Curried, slow-braised lamb shank shepherd's pie and sticky toffee pudding. Proper hearty food.
