Christmas at Red Rooster Shoreditch will be celebrated with Marcus Samuelsson-style dishes inspired by the chef’s Ethiopian, Swedish and American background for a different take on Christmas feasting. Dishes on the festive menus include Roast Turkey with leg confit stuffing, buttermilk mash with gizzard dressing; Berbere Spiced Turbot with wild rice risotto, almond cream with pomegranate and a Medallion of Ham with caramelised mustard glazed, parsnip puree, Brussel sprouts and cranberry chutney.
Pizza Pilgrims have got a special Christmas pizza on the menu this December to rival the generic turkey or cranberry sauce specials. “It’s a Wonderful Slice” comes with a pistachio butter base with mortadella ham, fresh buffalo mozzarella, crushed pistachios and olive oil.
temper City - Neil Rankin’s curry and gin restaurant in the City is offering two Christmas feasting menus priced at £45 and £55. Start with Mutton rolls, Mixed pakoras and Crab beignets followed by a curry plate such as the Dashi chip shop chicken, or alternatively the Smoked goat leg and pulled confit shoulder. Guests can then feast on plates from the tandoor such as the Red curry spiced duck or Green curry spiced fish, and finish everything off with the Chocolate and turmeric torte.

A £45 per head Christmas menu at Morito Hackney Road includes aperitivos, sharing starters and mains, Morito inspired Christmas dishes such as oyster mushroom and chestnut stew in filo pastry, and pheasant, spiced pumpkin puree, nuts, chorizo and crispy kale. Moro will offer a full a la carte Christmas menu with a choice of six seasonal starters, six mains and a spectacular sherry trifle.
