FESTIVE MENUS

12/11/2021

With Christmas coming in hot, food is most definitely on the brain (as it always is here at GB and C!). Our roster has an incredible offering this season as we go head on into the festive storm.

Angela Hartnett and Head Chef Adam Jay, are swinging open Cafe Murano’s doors for an Italian family-style feast. Choose between a three, four and five-course spread which include the likes of beef carpaccio, truffle parmesan, spiced fennel sausage ragu, braised cuttlefish with San Marzano tomatoes and tiramisu, with complimentary cicchetti thrown in for good measure.

For a veritable feast on Christmas Day, Davies and Brook at Claridge's is offering a decadent six-course menu designed by Executive Chef Daniel Humm. Start with the signature caviar slice, scallops with clementine or foie gras brûlee followed by centrepiece roast turkey, beef fillet; or oyster mushroom with a rich black garlic ragout, and a final flourish with Christmas pudding flambéed at the table.

Dishoom’s feasting menu is always a highlight of the festive season, but even more so after a year out. In it’s much anticipated return, the feast will be served at all sites from 22nd November to 24th December. Whether you’re planning to reunite with family and old friends, or salute the Christmas break with colleagues, the menu has been carefully built to emulate the sharing culture of Bombay’s Irani cafes.

Dishpatch is taking Christmas feasting to a whole new level this year, with an array of festive courses for gatherings large and small; for those who enjoy the socialising side of the season, yet still want to experience incredible food at home, menus from Angela Hartnett’s Cafe Murano, fish connoisseurs Parsons and deli bites from 10 Greek Street have been carefully curated for you to finish-at-home with minimal effort. What’s more, for those very last minute minds, 10 Greek Street will be serving up an incredible beef banquet with six decadent courses for delivery on the 23rd - right in time for the big day.

The team at Hampton Manor have carefully curated a two-night staycation. Festive activities include wine tasting and wreath making, supper under the stars at Stuart Deeley’s eagerly awaited restaurant, Smoke, parlour games and a second dinner at Michelin-starred Peel’s.

The Spanish do Christmas well, so alongside the usual Sabor hits like their chicken oyster bocadillo and tortilla, Nieves Barragan has rustled up a few extra festive dishes to help ring in the season in style. Crispy fried John Dory in a smoked paprika, roasted aubergine with piquilo sauce and requeson cheese will be joining the main menu, with the addition of saffron ice cream and Cuajada, a dish made from sheep’s milk for dessert.

For a true taste of la dolce vita in London, Sette by Scarpetta at Bvlgari Hotel is serving an Italian festive feast like no other. Dine on foie gras crostino with fig chutney; and oysters with champagne vinegar and gold leaf; followed by five courses including lobster or mushroom taglioni; and a choice of wild sea bass, winter squash or roasted turkey with all the trimmings. Celebrate the season with classic panettone with limoncello and a mince pie to finish.

Skye Gyngell and the team at Spring-To-Go are on hand for any last-minute Christmas needs. The shelves are stacked with jams, oils, pickles and preserves from the renowned suppliers, Fern Verrow Farm & Heckfield Home Farm. Natural wines have been selected by Spring’s sommelier Monique Ziervogel and Kitten Grayson has arranged seasonal bouquets, to add perfect last minute touches to any gift or table.

The MAINE Mayfair offers a dazzling array of festive dining options for the party season; with 350 covers across five rooms over three floors, there are plenty of places to celebrate. Festive menus start at £65 per person, filled with crowd-pleasing brasserie fare with a festive twist, including decadent lobster dishes, colossal shrimp cocktails and, of course, oysters galore.
