FEASTING MENUS FOR THE FESTIVE SEASON

19/11/2019

We have rounded up our favourite spots to go to for a festive feast with friends, colleagues and family this Christmas season.

Throughout the festive season, Sabor will be serving their take on a festive menu with their newly launched Asador feasting menu. Choose between a whole Segovian suckling pig, Txuleton Gallego, or Churrasco de Cordero for the table - available for groups of four or more.

In the lead up to Christmas, Hoi Polloi at Ace Hotel will be serving a special three-course Christmas set menu (£45pp). Options include Game terrine, mustard and cornichons to begin; a classic Roast turkey, confit turkey leg hash, sage & apricot stuffing with all the trimmings for main; then a delicious Spiced sticky toffee pudding served with brandy custard and ice cream for pudding.

Recently opened Nutshell in Covent Garden is offering an unusual take on traditional festive feasting, with creative Iranian twists. Menu highlights include Duck Fesenjun with walnut, pomegranate molasses and barberry; Stuffed Poussin with bulgur, dried fruits and nuts; and Quince tarte tatin with saffron and Persian tea ice cream. An added feature is the bar on the first floor, which can be used exclusively by guests who have privately hired the first floor.

This December, Cafe Murano Covent Garden and St James will be offering their take on a festive group feast. Served family style to the entire group, choose from dishes such as, Roasted Cornish cod with castellucio lentils, Venison stew with wet polenta and Risotto, Portland crab, radicchio and basil. Available in the private dining room for various group sizes. Christmas crackers available on request. View the menu here.

Kerridge’s Bar & Grill is offering a wonderfully festive menu this year with seasonal dishes such as Cream of chestnut soup with devils on horseback and Honey glazed bacon with turnip and marmalade puree. Two courses for £34, three courses for £40 or add a glass of Champagne for £50.

Or, take a day trip out of London and head to Marlow paying a visit to The Hand & Flowers, where the team have devised a special set lunch for the festive season. Dine on Honey & mustard roasted gammon with sprouts, pickled pineapple and black pudding mash for main, and then finish off with a delightful H&F mincemeat financier with spiced pavlova, mulled plums and plum sorbet.
