A proud protégé of Raymond Blanc, Bruno Loubet was Head Chef at Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons in the late 80s. This summer, the pair will reunite once again at Grain Store to serve a vegetable centric feast using little meat and dairy, including vegetables from each of the chefs’ very own gardens.
Both chefs share a passion for sustainable, ethical and low-waste seasonal cooking. At Belmond Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons, Raymond Blanc cultivates herb beds with 70 traditional and exotic varieties, a two-acre vegetable garden producing over 90 types of vegetable, a mushroom valley and a 4,000 strong orchard of French and English heritage varieties. Bruno Loubet, known for his use of fresh, seasonal vegetables, grew up on a farm and has an impressive kitchen garden in his Bedfordshire home. Bruno’s garden is packed with herbs, vegetables and fruit trees.
