JIKONI LAUNCHES SPECIAL VEGETARIAN SET LUNCH OFFERING

Ravinder Bhogal, Nadeem Lalani and the Jikoni team will open their much-loved Marylebone restaurant for lunch from January onwards, serving an entirely vegetarian focused menu.


Inspired by her time spent on her grandfather’s allotment and the inherited wisdom from her maternal ancestors knack for cooking delicious vegetarian dishes, Ravinder will serve the “Farm Fresh” Set Lunch menu every Wednesday to Friday at £28 for two courses and £32 for three courses.


The menu has been designed to honour the exceptional produce delivered from Waltham Farm, Jikoni’s biodynamic farm partner - a vital player in supporting them to become the UK’s first independent restaurant to go carbon neutral in 2021.


Dishes will celebrate the power of these diverse vegetables and herbs to help nourish, nurture, and improve health, whilst incorporating Ravinder’s cross-cultural “cooking without borders” style, in a nod to her East African, South Asian and middle Eastern heritage. Her joyful and innovative approach to blending big flavours, combined with a desire to ensure vegetables are at the heart of all her dishes, is evident throughout. Highlights include:

On creating the vegetarian lunch menu Ravinder notes: This is more than just lunch - it's about community. To be able to support a local farm, help create jobs and serve our valued guests’ nutrient rich food that's grown with such care for nature and the environment is a pleasure. It is a privilege for me and my team to be caretakers of the stunning produce Waltham Place grow for us.


The seasonal menu will change monthly and will be available at Jikoni every Wednesday to Friday from 12-3pm. The brunch menu will continue to be served on weekends.
