KAVI AND SHAMIL THAKRAR WIN 'RESTAURATEUR OF THE YEAR' AT THE 2018 CATEY AWARDS

Shamil and Kavi Thakrar, Dishoom's co-founders, have been awarderd 'Restaurateur of the Year 'at the 2018 Catey Awards.

Dishoom first opened in 2010 and now, eight years on, there are six sites across London and one in Edinburgh, with the most recent restaurant opening in Kensington in 2017.

Each restaurant’s design tells a different story, with tales of the Swinging Sixties in Carnaby, the history of Patrick Geddes at Edinburgh and wild stories of Art Deco and Jazz at Kensington.

The success of this story-telling in enhancing the customer experience is extremely important to Dishoom, and was praised by the judges.
