KITCHEN CUPBOARD MAKEOVER

Batten down the hatches, stock the larder and get cooking!

We are proud to be working with UK social enterprise and community interest company Zaytoun, which sells fairly traded Palestinian produce; in fact, their exceptionally good extra virgin olive oil was the first of its kind to receive the Fairtrade mark of approval.

First it was black barley, now Ottolenghi is stocking black beluga lentils, which have a slightly nutty taste. They keep their shape and a little bit of bite when cooked, which means they can hold their own in all sorts of salads, stews and soups.

Joudie Kalla's Palestine on a Plate is a feast of a cookbook bursting with vibrant flavours and bold colours. Each recipe is based on tried and tested techniques passed down by Joudie’s mother and grandmother. We’re lusting after the Freekah, fig and pistachio cake with zingy lemon zest.

Take a break with a square or two of the latest Pump Street Bakery bean-to-bar award winning chocolate. They have launched a coffee and chocolate series with the first bar combining their very special Jamaica 68% cocoa beans with Monmouth’s coffee beans from Raja Batak in North Sumatra.
