KOYA CITY LAUNCHES JAPANESE LUNCH BENTO BOXES
Koya city, the traditional Japanese udon bar, has launched a brand new takeaway lunchtime bento box in two varieties:
1) Grilled salted salmon bento
2) Veggie tofu ama-zu (sweet vinegar) bento
All served with a selection of daily homemade pickles, tamagoyaki (Japanese omelette), vegetables and rice. Takeaway only.
Koya in the City exemplifies the spirit of Koya Bar on Soho’s Frith Street; a traditional and modest udon noodle bar where dishes are served simply, ‘shokudo’ style (meaning 'casual cafeteria'). In keeping with the tradition of Koya, chef Shuko develops a daily blackboard specials menu at Koya City, offering her seasonal dishes which continue to broaden the perspective of Japanese cuisine.
