KOYA CITY OPENS

John Devitt and Shuko Oda have opened their second Koya site in the new Bloomberg Arcade development in the City.

Open seven days a week from breakfast through to dinner, Koya City embraces the character of a Japanese bar with stools around the counter where food is prepared and served, alongside tables and chairs away from the counter with seating for up to 60 people. In keeping with Koya Soho, Koya City features a similar colour palate as well as their signature Japanese noren curtains outside the front door which, as typical in Japan, alert guests to when they are open.

New to Koya in the City, Head Chef Shuko Oda has added a selection of new dishes to the menu including Crispy Fried Prawn Heads, Sakana Udon (white fish and seasonal greens) and Kippers, Egg and Butter Rice for breakfast, all served in Japanese ceramic dishwater, designed and created especially for Koya to compliment each dish. The team have also added a selection of sakes to the drinks menu and a selection of teas such as Kuromamecha, a Japanese roasted soya bean tea.
