BREAD AHEAD TO HOST A ONE-OFF EVENING WITH MODERNIST BREAD'S NATHAN MYHRVOLD
Bread Ahead is delighted to welcome the visionary Dr. Nathan Myhrvold, co-author of MODERNIST BREAD (The Cooking Lab LLC) and founder of MODERNIST CUISINE to their Borough Market bakery for a one-off evening on Friday 23rd February at 7pm. The talk will be the first in a series of new lectures hosted by Bread Ahead.
The event will begin with an introduction from Bread Ahead founder Matthew Jones, followed by a presentation given by Dr. Myhrvold on his experimental, five-part cookbook, MODERNIST BREAD. His book is a guide for bakers, urging them to be more innovative with one of history’s oldest foods, and documents the science behind breadmaking.
Matthew Jones said: “We are thrilled to welcome such an expert at Bread Ahead to discuss history and process of breadmaking. Nathan Myhrvold is a true trailblazer, and the book is an extraordinary feat. With baking and education at the heart of Bread Ahead’s ethos, we are excited to be having this discussion.”
