NEW OPENINGS IN 2017
Bread Ahead bakery and school opened on Pavilion Road in Chelsea on Friday, 6th January, serving Bread Ahead’s much-loved classics such as their doughnuts, sourdough and focaccia as well as some new classes beginning at the bakery school upstairs.
NAPE will open in Camberwell in February 2017; a cured meat bar from Borough Market based British charcuterie experts Cannon & Cannon. This will be a casual but stylish South London joint where guests can visit for a snack, glass of wine and selection of charcuterie.
Renowned French chef Claude Bosi will open Claude Bosi at Bibendum in South Kensington in Spring 2017. Claude will serve his recognised Michelin-starred food in the first floor dining room while the ground floor will focus on oyster shucking and fancy bar snacks.
American chef Marcus Samuelsson will launch his much-loved Harlem food joint, Red Rooster, in Spring 2017. The restaurant will open in The Curtain Hotel in Shoreditch and will serve Southern soul cuisine with live music to boot.
Outside of London, the most exciting hotel opening to come to Cambridge in years, Tamburlaine will open in the vibrant, new city quarter in Spring 2017. The 155-room hotel will also feature a restaurant, cocktail bar, garden room and deli.
And, at the end of 2016, taqueria Corazón opened on Poland Street amongst a flurry of Mexican openings across the city. Corazón offers a selection of ceviches, tostadas, and margaritas as well as those all-important delicious tacos!
