NUTSHELL OPENS ITS DOORS TODAY ON LONDON'S ST MARTIN'S LANE
Nutshell was born from Marwa Alkhalaf’s love for the home cooked dishes that her partner, Mohammad Paknejad, grew up eating in Tehran. Together they made a plan to bring more of this culturally rich, vibrant food to London, the city in which they live, sharing some of their most treasured recipes with Head Chef Jeremy Borrow (formerly Head Chef at The Palomar) to update with a twist.
Dishes will transport guests to the warm, welcoming atmosphere of the homes of Iranians,
bringing people together over sharing plates of mazze to start and freshly baked Bazaar Bread, made in-house and baked to order in the brick oven. Further dishes on the menu include:
Joosh Pareh, a comforting Iranian beef dumpling dish transformed using modern kitchen techniques.
Khoresht Bademjan, a stew made of pearl onions, split chickpeas and aubergine.
Albaloo polo, a side dish of rice and sour cherries, is designed to pair perfectly with meats and fish from the grill.
Persian Sundae will include zesty lemon, sour cherry and basil
Nutshell opens for dinner from 30th July, and will be open for lunch and dinner from 5th August.
There is a soft launch opening deal of 30% off food until Sunday 11th August.
