NYE 2021

09/12/2021

There is no better way to celebrate the new year than with some knockout food, and showstopping drinks at some of our favourite places around London.

The team at Davies and Brook in Claridges is pulling out all the stops for New Year’s Eve and Daniel Humm’s final service. Six decadent courses will start with the signature Caviar slice; followed by Arctic char ceviche; Miso black cod with roasted turnip and savoy cabbage; Glazed poussin with a parmesan brioche stuffing, as well as a Venison Wellington with rich foie gras, creamed spinach and roasted potatoes. The feast is finished with a Pear and cranberry doughnut with mulled wine ice cream - a festive flourish to end 2021 in style. The menu is £275 per person with optional wine pairing and vegetarian options are available.

Arguably one of London’s most beautiful dining rooms, Spring will be offering guests an all-out affair, greeting them with a glass of Seasonal Bellini on arrival served with a Sourdough melba and caviar, creme fraiche, eggs mimosa and chives. There will be an easy elegance to the meal with the likes of Taglioni with white truffle butter and Fillet of beef with porcini peara, fennel and potato gratin featuring too. The room will be decked out in seasonal flowers from Fern Verrow farm, making it a breathtakingly beautiful experience. £175 per person.

Angela Hartnett’s Michelin starred restaurant Murano in Mayfair will be putting on a seven course menu complete with a glass of Angela’s favourite small-producer Prosecco on arrival. Highlights will include Beef carpaccio, cipollini onions and truffle dressing; Lobster tortellini in chicken brodo; and Rum baba, pina colada. The restaurant provides the ultimate sumptuous yet laid back surrounds to see in the new year, with a private chefs table on offer too, which looks directly into the kitchen. The menu will be priced at £160 per head.

Having celebrated its 10th year in 2021, NOPI, Yotam Ottolenghi’s restaurant in the heart of the West End, will be hosting a very special New Years Eve. The one-off Anniversary menu will be served for a final time on 31st January. It will feature dishes that have become NOPI favourites over the past decade - think Valdeón cheesecake, pickled beetroot, thyme honey, almonds, alongside fresh new seasonal dishes such as Duck breast, hazelnut beer butter, mushroom freekeh, goma kombu. The menu will be priced at £90 per head.

Feast like an Italian in true ‘la dolce vita’ style at Sette by Scarpetta at the Bvlgari Hotel. Start with Foie gras crostino with fig chutney; Oysters with champagne vinegar and gold leaf; followed by Lobster salad or Taglioni with prawn and clams. For the main, choose between a Black cod served with spinach and sprout tops or a Fillet of veal with cavolo nero and chestnut cream; desserts will be a choice of Chocolate semifreddo or an assortment of Italian cheeses, and finally Biscotti and Petit fours to finish the evening. The menu is £180 per head with an optional wine pairing. Vegetarian options are also available.

Dishoom will be celebrating New Year’s Eve in style with Bombay Vintage Glam decor across all of their Dishoom cafés. They will be welcoming walk-ins and bookings all night with any bookings made from 9:30pm able to stay for the countdown and ring in the new year. A night filled with live music, a four-course feast with a welcome glass of Champagne, and access to Abajo with live music throughout (for the later sitting) awaits at Sucre. The menu is big on flavour and luxury ingredients, for instance Scallop tiradito, caviar and yuzu is the perfect bite to kick off a very festive feast.
