OTTOLENGHI FLAVOUR

Last Thursday saw publication of Ottolenghi FLAVOUR, the new cookbook by Yotam Ottolenghi and co-writer Ixta Belfrage from the Ottolenghi Test Kitchen.


The vegetable-based, flavour-forward book is the third in the trilogy following Plenty and Plenty More. Yotam and Ixta have broken the recipes down into three sections, showing how to elevate vegetables to create extraordinary food.


Process explains cooking methods that elevate veg to great heights;

Pairing identifies four basic pairings that are fundamental to great flavour;

Produce offers impactful vegetables that do the work for you.


To accompany the cookbook release, the FLAVOUR hamper is now available to buy. Rejecting all traditional notions, this hamper is designed for the food fanatic, with seriously unusual ingredient combinations. There are Hibiscus Flowers (which add tart, floral acidity), along with Masa Harina, White Miso, Cascabel Chilli’s, Ancho Chilli’s and Shaoxing Wine, amongst other ingredients. A signed copy of FLAVOUR and a tote bag are also part of the hamper.
