Robbie Bargh knows everything there is to know about the hospitality industry. Founder of consultancy agency The Gorgeous Group, he creates concepts for bars, restaurants and hotels. Robbie has been in the business for over 30 years, gaining first-hand experience running bars, cafés, restaurants, and nightclubs, and living in both New York and London.


What was one of the very first dishes you remember eating?

16th birthday Heaton Park Hotel that was a Beefeater. I had Prawn Cocktail, Steak with peppercorn sauce and Black Forest gateau, I was with my mum and grandma, it was my first ever meal out. I couldn’t believe people serving me food dressed as Beefeaters. It was amazing…I know!!

Alan Yau my old boss, my mentor and my friend


What is your guiltiest food pleasure?

Cheese on toast

Popolo! and A Wong


What would be your last meal?

Deep fried olives, Rabbit agnolotti, Risotto, Lemon Tart

Marcella Hazen’s Pea Risotto with Scott.
