OTTOLENGHI TO OPEN NEW RESTAURANT IN FITZROVIA

The team behind Ottolenghi are to launch a new restaurant, ROVI, in Fitzrovia this summer. Whilst its Ottolenghi roots will remain apparent, ROVI will have a different feeling and character.

ROVI’s menu will have vegetables at its heart but with a fresh focus on fermentation and cooking over fire, with dishes such as: Braised and smoked carrots with puffed black barley and pickled herbs and Confit mussels with hay-smoked potatoes and cascabel oil. Ingredients will be sourced from trusted suppliers and many dishes will be available in different sizes, offering diners more flexibility and choice. Guests will also be able to enjoy a vibrant bar with cocktails based on seasonal spices and a dynamic low-intervention wine list.

The dome shaped dining room will have industrial notes combined with warm, natural materials; featuring counter top seating in the front window reserved for walk-ins only, whilst the main room will be centred around a large oval shaped cocktail bar seating 18 guests and open to drinkers and diners alike.

ROVI will be initially open for lunch and dinner, and breakfast will follow in July. There will also be a small deli with salads to take away and freshly baked cakes and pastries – open during the day only.
