THE COACH IN MARLOW AWARED A MICHELIN STAR

02/10/2017

It was announced today that Tom Kerridge’s Marlow pub The Coach, led by Nick Beardshaw and head chef Tom De Keyser, has been awarded a Michelin Star, as a new entry into the Michelin Guide Great Britain & Ireland 2018.

The Coach opened in 2014 with the aim of offering a flexible, relaxed and accessible pub where everybody is welcome. The pub is open seven days a week, from early morning through to late evening, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner with simple food offerings and refreshments to fill the gaps in between.

The menu includes Mussels Marinière with Warm Stout and Brown Bread; Whole Stuffed Rotisserie Quail with Mushroom and Sherry Velouté and Cornish Pollock Scotch Egg with Lobster Bisque. There is a Sunday roast, featuring a rotisserie meat of the day served with Yorkshire puddings and trimmings, and a daily breakfast menu including Staffordshire Oat Cakes with Bacon and Cheese.

Tom Kerridge says – “I am over the moon for my wonderful team at The Coach. Chef Nick and the whole crew front and back of house work tirelessly every day to provide a welcoming neighbourhood place and it’s such a pleasure to cook with them.”

We are also delighted that Tom Kerridge’s The Hand and Flowers, Angela Hartnett's Murano and The Black Swan at Oldstead from chef Tommy Banks, have retained their Michelin Stars.
