WAREHOUSE TO LAUNCH AS PART OF THE CONDUIT

05/10/2021

The Conduit club last month opened a new landmark site within the heart of Covent Garden at 6 Langley Street. The six-floor grade II listed building serves as a home for people who are passionate about driving positive social change. Having welcomed over 3,000 people through its doors in the first three weeks - including an already popular private restaurant on the 5th floor - The Conduit will next launch its first public restaurant named Warehouse on the ground-floor of the club in November 2021.

Warehouse, housed in a 2,000 sq ft ground floor space, will be open to both Conduit members and the public and will be run by Brendan Eades, previously head chef at the zero-waste restaurant Silo. In keeping with The Conduit’s principles, Warehouse will source its ingredients from carefully selected suppliers with a deep commitment to sustainability. Warehouse’s artisanal décor includes hand-painted tiles, hand-woven curtains and baskets, paved flooring, with reclaimed furniture throughout.

Warehouse will have 80 covers. The restaurant draws its name from the building’s history, a warehouse that served the original Covent Garden fruit and vegetable market.

The menu is centred around bold flavours, seasonality and sustainability. Operations are underpinned by strong relationships with suppliers (think ancient grain producers, day-boat fish suppliers and organic dairy farmers) – working with organisations to advance their commitment to sustainability and help push the movement forward.

Renowned mixologist, Walter Pintus, will be in charge of the bar and creating an innovative, hyper-seasonal cocktail list; the selection will focus on simple and elegant drinks and use fresh seasonal fruit or syrups, home-made cordials, vinegars and pickles created for out of season periods.
