ANGELA HARTNETT ANNOUNCES LASTEST CAFE MURANO BOOK CLUB LINE-UP

03/05/2022

Angela Hartnett will launch the second series ofher sell-out Cafe Murano Book Club this May, with another stellar line up featuring industry best: Lee Tiernan (FKABAM), James Golding and Ollie Hutson (The Pig Hotels) and the legendary Itamar Srulovich and Sarit Packer (Honey & Co). Taking place at Cafe Murano Bermondsey, tickets will also include a bespoke two-course dinner inspired by the respective guest.

First up on 22nd May, Lee Tiernan, founder of F.K.A. BAM (formerly Black Axe Mangal), will bring his unapologetic North London edge to Cafe Murano Bermondsey, entertaining guests with his provocative approach to hospitality and refusal to be defined or restrained. Lee has garnered a cult following thanks to a 10 year stint at St. JOHN Bread and Wine, before going on to open FKABAM, every insider’s favourite destination. With an overarching mission to turn heads and an unparalleled globe-spanning collaborative roster, Lee, who is often referred to as Fergus Henderson’s prodigy, will no doubt be sharing an anecdote or two.

On 26th June dynamic duo, James Golding and Ollie Hutson, from homegrown phenomenon, The Pig Hotels, will be discussing the hotel’s brand-new book, The Pig: 500 Miles of Food, Friends and Local Legends. As Group Chef Director and Group Head Kitchen Gardener, the two are well versed in championing provenance and seasonality, investigating the origin of food, how it’s grown and subsequently tastes. Having been with The Pig since day one, James will be reflecting and celebrating the journey and characters met along the way, whilst Ollie will be talking about how to grow your own. Guests are destined to leave armed with tips and tricks for a more sustainable way of living.

The final speakers in the series are the beloved, Itamar Srulovich and Sarit Packer, founders of Honey & Co. On 31st July the pair will deep dive into their latest cookbook Chasing Smoke: Cooking Over Fire Around the Levant, and discuss their move to Bloomsbury. Their energy and light-hearted nature have made them true hospitality icons, and Chasing Smoke is a love letter to times spent and flavours tasted. Themes which will define this one-off evening.

Cafe Murano Book Club will provide guests with an opportunity to go behind the scenes of these writers’ minds, creative processes, and forthcoming publications. The entire experience – including a welcome cocktail, signature Cafe Murano nibbles and a two-course menu – will be influenced by the speakers’ themes.

Tickets are £85 each and can be booked here.
