CHISHURU CHEF TAKEOVER
20/04/2023
We are delighted to announce that West African Chef Adejoké Bakare will take over the upstairs at Globe Tavern in Borough Market for a two month pop-up, running from Tuesday 9th May to Saturday 1st July.
Ahead of the opening of Chishuru later this summer, Joké will serve a menu inspired by her childhood and Nigerian dining traditions with dish contributions from some of her closest industry friends, including Anna Higham (formerly of Lyle’s and soon-to-open Quince Bakery) and Sirichai Kularbwong (Singburi).
Standout dishes from the sample menu include Sinasir (rice and coconut pancakes with summer squash puree), a popular street food in the North of Nigeria, Abacha Mmri (cassava, young coconut and Scottish hand dived scallops with a coconut dressing), and Celeriac cake (served with pumpkin seed sauce, endive and rice).
Tickets are priced at £45 for dinner and £30 for lunch for three courses, including dessert.
