COLETTE’S PLATINUM PICNIC HAMPER

With 12 million of us expected to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee with a street party, renowned French traiteur Colette have put together a hamper of true British classics and then some, to help kick off a weekend of festivities. Available for purchase from any of their stores, or to order for nationwide delivery, the hamper can be pre-ordered from 2nd May.

Featuring all the flavours of a true British picnic, the Platinum Jubilee Hamper can be purchased to feed two, or four. Each hamper includes a handcrafted selection of sandwiches, scones and cakes, plus a bottle of Colette’s own Côtes de Provence Rosé wine. Designed around ingredients synonymous with the Royal Family and previous Jubilee celebrations, expect a new take on decadent British classics to enjoy al fresco with family and friends.

Starting with the light and refreshing Gin-cured Smoked Salmon, Dill Cream Cheese and Cucumber Brioche, the menu moves swiftly on to a baguette sandwich made with Roast Beef, Yorkshire Pudding and Watercress. Of course, it wouldn’t be a royal celebration without Coronation Chicken, piped into a crisp vol-au-vent.
