NUTSHELL, A NEW MODERN IRANIAN RESTAURANT, OPENING IN JULY  

We are excited to announce Nutshell, a new modern Iranian restaurant opening on London’s St Martin’s Lane this summer

Owners Marwa Alkhalaf and Mohammad Paknejad will be sharing some of their favourite Iranian- inspired dishes with the help of Head Chef Jeremy Borrow (formerly Head Chef at The Palomar), showcasing traditional Iranian recipes with a modern twist.

Some of the most interesting and unique aspects of Iranian cuisine are said to be found in the homes of Iranians, rather than the bustling restauranrts of Tehran, and Nutshell's intention is to re-create the warm, welcoming atmosphere of home in this contemporary setting.

The restaurant will serve a menu of sharing plates with signature dishes adapted through the seasons, reflecting the produce on offer. Bread, and the sharing of it, will be key, and vegetables will also play a vital role on the menu, as will age-old techniques of brining, pickling, drying and fermentation.
