SAMI TAMIMI TO LAUNCH PALESTINIAN COOKERY CLASSES
24/01/2023
Self-taught chef, restaurateur and food writer, Sami Tamimi, is launching a series of online cookery classes this February, celebrating the culinary heritage of Palestine with his favourite recipes.
A leading voice in Palestinian cooking in London, Sami will showcase his expertise garnered at many of London’s most lauded Middle Eastern restaurants including his instrumental role as a co-founder of Ottolenghi, as well as co-authoring a number of critically acclaimed recipe books including Jerusalem and Falastin.
Kicking off the first class on Tuesday 7th February at 6pm with Baked kofta, aubergine and winter tabbouleh, Sami will showcase a variety of traditional and modern Palestinian and Middle Eastern recipes, ranging from traditional dishes such as fragrant Chicken maftoul, to his typically innovative Chicken shawarma pie.
The classes will be suitable for cooks of any levels and will be kept small for real-time guidance, to ensure each student can cook confidentially and learn the techniques that lie at the heart of Palestinian cuisine.
Each class costs £50 per person and will run for last around two and hours. All students will be given written recipes, a shopping list and equipment list ahead of the class.
Later in 2023, Sami will also be launching a brand new Palestinian supper club series, making use of sustainable, low carbon British produce with a sharing style menu of typically Tamimi twists.
