SOM SAA LAUNCH "MOLAM SUNDAYS"

Spitalfields Thai restaurant som saa will launch a series of Sunday sessions this Summer entitled “Molam Sundays”. The series of six special events will showcase the rustic and rural dishes of Thailand’s countryside and backstreets, every Sunday from 17th June – 22nd July set to a back drop of traditional ‘Molam’ music.

Molam is the major traditional music of Isaan province and neighbouring Laos and the team will be spinning records from their collection interspersed with Thai pop, funk and hip hop.

The menu will focus on great value, rustic dishes in a relaxed style and will include the likes of lam plaa (a mixture of fish, curry paste and holy basil stuffed in bamboo and grilled on charcoal) pounded salads, a wide variety of larbs found across rural Thailand, and some special large format sharing dishes for the long hot Sunday afternoons such as miang pla pao - grilled salt crust wild seabass with herbs, leaves and noodles to wrap.
