THE BUXTON, A PUB WITH ROOMS ON BRICK LANE TO LAUNCH MID-MAY
28/03/2019
Housed in a former Victorian pub to the south of Brick Lane, The Buxton, from the team behind The Culpeper, will launch in mid-May as a pub and 15-bedroom hotel after being lovingly and painstakingly restored.
Located on the ground floor, the pub will be the heart of the five-story building, with a standalone open kitchen and bar, which will be the focal point for the large open space. A brief, simple and seasonal a la carte menu of regional European and British dishes will be served in the pub throughout the day.
Boards of cheese and charcuterie, to pair with a cocktail or glass of wine, as well as heartier British bar snacks, such as a traditional scotch egg.
Starters of British Asparagus, Polenta Chip, Stracciatella & E.V.O Oil will be followed by mains such as Dexter Beef, Celeriac Remoulade Garlic & Honey Puree and finished with true pub classic desserts including Treacle Tart with Clotted Cream.
A short list of seasonally changing cocktails will be created using herbs grown on the roof kitchen garden where possible. The cocktail list will be accompanied by a select and frequently changing wine list, alongside a selection of local and continental draught lagers, cask ales and locally brewed bottled beers.
Further to the ground floor and rooms will be a rooftop terrace for hotel guests with an unparalleled 360-degree view across London’s East End and the City.
Each bedroom is moderately priced at a flat rate of £100 including a welcome drink and breakfast. Reservation lines are now open ahead of a May launch.
