ADEJOKÉ BAKARE ANNOUNCES SPECIAL EVENT SERIES AT BOROUGH MARKET POP-UP THIS JULY

Following the extension of Chishuru’s pop-up, Joké & Friends, chef-owner Adejoké Bakare will be running a special series of events across July including partnerships with an impressive line-up of chefs.

Taking place at The Globe Tavern in the popular foodie hotspot Borough Market, the line-up includes: Jay Morjaria of Tiger and Rabbit, and following the popularity of his guest dish Guan Chua of Nyonya Supper Club will return.

Across July, each chef will design a menu with Joké for one night only that showcases a fusion of flavours complementing Joké’s signature West-African style together with theirs. Jay Morjaria will be fusing his Korean and Goan dishes and Guan Chua will return with his bold Nyonyan dishes for guests to enjoy.

Joké will also be hosting her own Whole Hogget Dinner celebrating lamb in its second Spring where a nose-to-tail approach will be taken to offer a variety of dishes, including Balangu (grilled chops with yaji spice), Cassava chips with brain mayonnaise, Tongue salad, and Hogget asun (roasted belly).

Guest chef experiences are priced at £45 per person, and the Whole Hogget Dinner is £65 per person. All reservations can be made via the Chishuru website between 5.30pm and 9pm on the selected dates.
