INTRODUCING BÉBÉ BOB

14/08/2023

From the team behind Bob Bob Ricard, one of London’s most timeless restaurants comes Bébé Bob, opening in Soho this September. Located on the corner of Golden Square, a stone’s throw away from Mayfair, Bébé Bob will specialise in rotisserie chicken, with well-priced fine wines and champagne to match.

Bébé Bob represents a new direction for the restaurant group as they celebrate their milestone 15th year, since Bob Bob Ricard opened in Soho in 2008.

The Menu
Two varieties of chicken from different regions in France, Vendee and Landes, chosen by Group Chef Director Ben Hobson, will lie at the heart of the menu. Renowned for its flavour, quality and provenance, both birds will be cooked rotisserie-style, served whole at the table with a chicken jus and carved in view of guests to generously feed two. Diners are encouraged to pick from a handful of elevated sides and sauces to accompany, including Truffle french fries, Winter leaf salad, Sauteed kale, Truffle jus and Albufiera sauce.

No Bob Bob opening is complete without a caviar offering and here at Bébé Bob this will comprise of Baerii, Oscietra and Shrenkii caviar, served with large blinis and made fresh tableside. Oysters sourced from the shores of Jersey will also be available to kick off proceedings.

Guests can choose from a selection of classic starters comprising of Egg mayonnaise with anchovy, Smoked salmon sourced from Severn & Wye and Seasonal vegetables such as white asparagus and hollandaise. Desserts include Chocolate fondant with cherries, crème fraiche and kirsch; Tourteau fromagé; and a Paris Brest, served with hazelnut cream and praline. Those looking for something lighter can opt for Affogato or Limonnaya Vodka served over Menton lemon sorbet.

Drinks
The wine list at Bébé Bob will be short and dynamic, with Group Head Sommelier Giacomo Recchia honouring classic white and red Burgundy, as well as a variety of rosé wines - all with a fresh, crispness in mind to bring out the chicken’s juiciness. A large selection of wines on the menu will be served by the glass, poured using a Coravin system to ensure tasting notes remain uncompromised.

Already known for their one-of-a-kind drink’s menu, the team will continue to cap the mark-up on all fine wines at £75, no matter the price of the bottle. This bold decision and generous gesture was introduced over a decade ago and makes the wine list one of the most impressive in London, providing value for money without effecting on quality.

The Interiors
Bébé Bob has been designed by Daniel Monk, a London based studio who previously worked on the design of Bob Bob Ricard. Influence has been drawn from key elements of the original site, including the red and blue colour scheme, whilst incorporating unique art-deco inspired details and furnishings to create a glamorous yet warm atmosphere.

An intimate 12-seater circular bar with a golden granite top and terrazzo flooring will greet guests before they are led into the main dining space. Here curved soft leather banquettes, bespoke geometric patterned carpet and geometric glass screens will add intimacy to the space.

On the opening, Leonid Shutov, founder of Bob Bob Ricard and Bébé Bob, notes:

“To open Bébé Bob during our 15th year is a very special moment. We look forward to welcoming both new and returning customers to our brand new single concept dining experience, where delicious food, excellent fine wines and champagne are the order of the day.”

Bébé Bob will open in September with booking lines going live soon. Featuring 56-covers in total, including 12 seats at the bar, the restaurant will only offer tables up to four people.
