LYANESS TO LAUNCH NEW PERFECT AFTERNOONS WEEKEND MENU

This May, Lyaness, the flagship bar from the world’s most decorated bartender Ryan Chetiyawardana, aka Mr Lyan, will introduce a new Perfect Afternoons weekend menu – a celebration of the bar’s iconic location on the Thames and the cultural institutions that surround it.

Available each Saturday and Sunday from 12pm - 4pm, the new menu will create an idyllic pause for those exploring the area with a curated selection of light bites and Lyaness’ world-renowned innovative cocktails – the ideal accompaniments to a perfect afternoon along the Southbank.

Priced at £30 for two bar snacks and two drinks, the new menu will offer dishes including English coastal oysters served with Lyaness’ Black currant mignonette; Space Raider devilled eggs; and Pan con tomate. To pair alongside the new dishes, Lyaness has created three brand-new serves that nod to the bar’s position on the water in Sea Containers Hotel and the neighbouring landmarks. These will include:

BFI Bellini
Tequila, rhubarb, nitrate bubbles


Tate Shady
Compass Box Orchard House, double lemon, hopped kombucha


Daisy’s Daisy
Vodka, apple, lemongrass, flower show tea


Of the new menu, Ryan Chetiyawardana notes, "We've always loved our location at Sea Containers, overlooking St Paul’s and the north bank of the Thames - it’s one of the most quintessentially ‘London’ experiences you can have. We’re also ideally placed amongst so many of the city’s greatest cultural institutions, including Tate Modern, or the Hayward, BFI or National Theatre. We wanted to create a perfect little pause that allows these day trips to feel even more special – a little moment to reflect on the day's experiences, and to watch the people pass along the river. It's what we see as a perfect afternoon, so we wanted to host people in the way we love to experience the best of the city when we're with our family and friends."

The Perfect Afternoons menu will launch on 4th May and will be available each Saturday and Sunday from 12pm - 4pm. The menu will be priced at £30 for two drinks and two dishes, with supplementary dishes available à la carte for £7.50, and cocktails for £12.50.
