POPHAMS HOME INTRODUCES A SERIES OF SPRING EVENTS

03/04/2024

Purveyor of artisan pastries, pasta and homeware - Pophams - is welcoming spring with a line-up of events across both Home sites in Islington and London Fields. Along with a Katto knife pop-up shop, and a new series of craft-focused workshops in collaboration with artists and designers, there will be an extra special exhibition at London Craft Week.

Pophams was originally born out of the idea to bring an innovative spin on traditional viennoiserie baking techniques. Now with three sites, a pasta restaurant and a homeware brand, Pophams provides a platform for craftsmanship across food, art and design.

LONDON CRAFT WEEK

As part of London Craft Week, from 13th - 19th May, Pophams Home will be running an exhibition in the Islington store called Maker, Material Method to celebrate an array of independent makers and designers including ceramicist Grace McCarthy, textile artist Sophia Wilcox and woodwork specialist Selwyn House. Throughout the week, each participating maker will showcase a small selection of special, one-off pieces alongside the tools used to highlight their practice and process.

On Thursday 16th May, 4-8pm, the shop will play host to an interactive open evening featuring live demonstrations and opportunities to learn more about the makers' chosen crafts alongside a selection of snacks and wine from the onsite deli and bottle shop.

POPHAMS HOME SPRING PROGRAMME

Open under the railway arches next to the London Fields bakery and restaurant on Richmond Road, is Pophams’ purpose-built space for workshops. Committed to supporting original style, the spring series highlights artists from across the UK. Guests will be able to learn new skills with a programme of evening and afternoon sessions, all accompanied with food and drink from the next door bakery and restaurant.
