The Peninsula London is proud to announce the launch of The Macallan Red Collection Experience.

The partnership celebrates a historic moment for both brands, marking The Peninsula London as the first venue in Europe to offer all seven currently released editions of The Macallan Red Collection for purchase as a tasting flight. Born from a united respect for innovation and a pioneering spirit, the relationship between the two luxury brands demonstrates the hotel’s commitment to championing like-minded British artisans.

The Macallan’s most prestigious selection, The Red Collection, is made up of seven rare single malts: The Macallan 40 Years Old, The Macallan 50 Years Old and The Macallan 60 Years Old as ongoing expressions in the collection, and four high-aged guest releases of The Macallan 71 Years Old, The Macallan 74 Years Old, The Macallan 77 Years Old and The Macallan 78 Years Old. The colour originates from the Speyside distillery’s founder Alexander Reid, ‘Reid’ meaning Red in Scots. This whisky’s distinct hue serves as both a symbolic thread but also echoes the profound significance of the colour red in The Macallan’s narrative.

Guests can enjoy a dram or the full tasting flight of The Macallan Red Experience which will be available to book via phone, with the price available upon request. Each dram will be served using The Macallan Lalique glassware and The Macallan red leather coasters created in partnership with Linley. The full tasting flight experience, guided by one of Brooklands experienced mixologists, will also include a The Macallan-based cocktail and palate cleansers upon arrival, as well as canapés curated by Brooklands culinary team to match with The Red Collection. Each guest will leave with a complete set of tasting notes and a gift box with The Macallan crystal tumbler.

The exquisite collection will be available to order exclusively in Brooklands Bar. Set to the backdrop of London’s skyline, Brooklands’ striking design takes inspiration from historical icons of British motoring and aviation.

Dedicated to seeking out the extraordinary, The Macallan and The Peninsula London worked closely together to create an entirely bespoke and immersive drinking experience, led by Executive Assistant Manager of Food and Beverage, Simon Rastrick.
