ORIGIN COFFEE OPENS IN BRISTOL

Independent, B Corp speciality coffee roasters, Origin Coffee has opened in Bristol, adding a seventh site to its growing portfolio in the UK.

The new site is located on Victoria Street, in the heart of the city’s centre, making it the perfect location for commuters, locals, and visitors alike. The café has been designed as a community space for coffee enthusiasts, people-led events, brewing courses and those simply looking for a quiet space to unwind. There will be a rotating coffee menu featuring single origin coffees which showcase Origin's world class coffee programme.

Owner and Founder, Tom Sobey said, ‘Bristol is a big move for us but we’re really excited to finally open our doors. It’s our first café outside of London and Cornwall and this city feels like the perfect place to open. We love to be surrounded by like-minded, sustainably conscious businesses and people. As well as creating a beautiful coffee shop for the Bristol community to enjoy, our new site will act as an education and technical hub, allowing us to offer a great level of service to our wholesale customers in the West.’

Together with interior designer Megan Sadler, the location has been renovated as a continuation of the brand’s roastery cafe in Porthleven, Cornwall, a sophisticated industrial aesthetic for which Origin Coffee locations are recognised by. The cafe features a handmade terracotta floor, and natural Devon lime plaster walls creating a welcoming and warm, yet modern space. Custom made elements thread through the site from seating to coffee cups handmade by local ceramicist Sam Marks. The location will also be fitted with an education space used to host workshops and training for both professional baristas and at-home coffee enthusiasts looking to hone their craft.

The new site opens up rewards access to Bristol customers, via Origin’s new app (available on Android and iOS), with the opportunity to collect and redeem loyalty points for in-store spends.

Customers will be able to visit the café daily. Workshops can be booked via the website.
